Character background and universe

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a manga and anime series created by Koyoharu Gotouge. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a big-hearted young boy who became a demon slayer after his family was massacred and his sister Nezuko was turned into a demon.

Tanjiro Kamado is characterised by his compassion, courage and determination to protect the innocent. Despite the hardships he faces, he retains a deep sense of humanity and seeks a way to restore Nezuko to her human form. His exceptional sense of smell, his training in the Water Breathing technique and his unyielding will make him one of the series’ most memorable characters.
